Kay Gott is a painter, ceramist, doll maker and jewelry designer. Her work is noted for its craft, spontaneity and originality. Kay’s artistic talents were recognized early. She started painting while in kindergarten and went on to win a state-wide art contest while in high school. Throughout the years, Kay has created art in various forms. Experimenting freely, mixing medium, her focus is on the process. “I only seek balance. Instead of trying to control the process, I let the painting, or whatever medium I’m working with evolve naturally – much like my new way of approaching life.” It has been said that art imitates life. In Kay’s case, the reverse seems to be true – “My life is now imitating my art. Yes!”
