The circle: a metaphor for life.
When we are young, we pursue interests, careers, relationships — finding our way, defining ourselves. We climb the uphill arc of the circle, and along the journey pursuits come and go.
As we age, we enter the descending slope returning us to those pursuits. We seek the comfort that familiarity brings, or perhaps the chance to accomplish what was left unfinished before the circle closes.
Each of us is the creator of our own life, our own circle.
The Loft at Liz’s presents a group show of variations on this theme: paintings by Sophie Pegrum, Stephen Rowe, and Kenneth Ober, metalwork by Hannie Goldgewicht, installations by Henry Vincent, Ana Marini Genzon, and Mike Saijo, collage by Lark, and mixed media works by Jane Goren and George Ousman Diagne. We welcome back jewelers Monique Birault and Cristina Fabiani with 360-inspired designs, and introduce the hand-crafted silver jewelry of Sasha Bell and the lost-wax creations of Leonel Gotlibowski.
