The Loft at Liz’s is once again a proud supporter of
The IPA (International Photography Awards) annual “One Shot” competition.
We are welcoming entries from our artists and will host exhibition winners during
MOPLA (Month of Photography Los Angeles) in April 2013.

Entry details are as follows:

DEADLINE: DEC. 14th, 2012

International Photography Awards’ annual single-image themed competition is back. Selected work submitted to the competition will be exhibited during Month of Photography Los Angeles.
This year’s theme, Spaces, asks photographers to submit work that conveys a sense of inside,
outside, or the space between.

One Shot:Spaces jurors include Daria Bonera (DB), Alison Zavos (Feature Shoot),
and Alexandra Niki (Resource Magazine)

Prizes include $2,250 in cash prizes, inclusion in One Shot: Spaces exhibition, a one year 4ormat Pro web subscription, an artist profile on the One Shot website, and custom Cocoagraph chocolate products.

Deadline: December 14, 2012 (11:59pm PST).

The International Photography Awards was proud to announce its 2012 Annual Competition winners.  The winners were announced, live, at the Tenth Annual Lucie Awards in Los Angeles.  They were Alinka Echeverria (International Photographer of the Year. $10,000, presented by AtEdge), Viktoria Sorochinski (Discovery of the Year, $5,000), Fernando Moleres (Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year. $5,000, presented by American Society of Media Photographers), and Mark Bramley (Inaugural Moving Image Photographer of the Year, $2,500).

The IPA hosts their annual competition in partnership with The Lucie Foundation.
This year’s Lucie Support Category winners are:

Photography Magazine of the Year: British Journal of Photography
Curator/Exhibition of the Year: Okwui Enwezor, with Rory Bester, for Rise and Fall of Apartheid: Photography and the Bureaucracy of Everyday Life at International Center of Photogaphy (New York)
Fashion Layout of the Year: Vogue Italia for Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey, photographed by Ellen von Unwerth.
Picture Editor of the Year: Zana Woods, Wired Magazine.
