ARTIST STATEMENT

My work consists of the exploration and documentation of the forms and shapes of nature in space. The results are both figurative and abstract. The works speak of a spirituality that allows humankind to rise above and soar; despite the horrors of war, aggression, abuse and prejudice. This is demonstrated in several of my monumental pieces and in the “Floating Power” series. The “Bone Series” symbolizes my philosophy that life continues and will persevere into the millennium. The “Bronze Space Composites” are the abstraction of the shapes of nature in space.  The “Butterflies in Motion” is part of a mobile series that represents the transformation of an insect in a chrysalis into a beautiful butterfly, soaring away into our magnificent atmosphere.
